Defining a new creative hub for Manchester!

It was very interesting and informative visit. The talk educated me to understand how a co-working space is laid out in a modern work space. Each zone was easily recognised and ideal for different purposes such as meeting/conference, break out, informal meeting space, individual private space and teamwork spaces.

Inside green walls can be made of living plants or preserved moss. If you want to make a statement, a green wall can add an extra dimension to your interior fit-out. They’re really easy to maintain, they look fantastic and are a real showstopper as a backdrop also improves indoor air quality and acts as acoustics which helps reduce sound pollution.

I was really keen to see the outdoor work space and the way its designed was unique as their was little hubs and other spaces such as outdoor seating/ work area. It proves work can be done in different locations and not just at a office desk

We had a challenge at the end in groups to create a seasonal moodboard and our team got autumn theme which was interesting.

Overall the experience was useful because I learnt how a co-working space works and this was inspiring to my final major project. it gave me ideas and a real vision of how a co-working space works.
